About Us

The course is a nine hole parkland course. The course is situated on the grounds of Myerscough college and is generally flat. The majority of the holes are tree lined. Water crosses a couple of fairways as well as defending a number of greens. There is a variety of green side defences for players to navigate that make this 9 hole course an interesting challenge. The par 3 ninth hole being the signature hole of the course. Carry the water and bunkers and you could have a chance of a birdie. The course is maintained by a dedicated and professional group staff who continue to balance the academic needs of the college with demands of providing accessible golf to the local community.

In the closed season the course is at its most open and forgiving. When summer arrives, out comes the long grass. At this stage of the season the emphasis on your game would be to keep on the fairways. The course can be challenging if you stray. Over the  years it has been developed to ensure students gain the necessary skills, not only playing skills. The course also helps develop those skills required to manage and maintain the golf course as well as developing golf pro’s of the future.
