Summer League
The Summer League normally runs from April/May until September. This competition is divided into two stages. The initial qualification, followed by the final play-off. In the qualifying stage players submit a minimum of four 9 hole qualifying cards (stableford format) from any qualifying event. See the events Calendar for the specific dates.
There are a number of qualifying positions to be competed for. The top 9 players, and ties, qualify for the final outright. There are two places for the players with the highest total scores of all qualifying rounds, outside the top 9 and ties. A further place is available for the player with the single highest single round score outside the top 9 and ties provided they have submitted at leas 4 qualifying cards for the competition. In the event of a tie for this place count back of scores from the 3 other qualification cards will be used, highest 2nd, 3rd or even 4th cards would be used to identify who gets the place.
In addition to these places and dependant upon the number of entrants. Three places each are available for lady members and junior players on the same qualifying basis. In addition to the main Summer League Competition the title of best Best Lady and Best Junior will also be competed for.
The final is usually played late September. The final will be played over 18 holes (stableford format) for all those who hold a qualifying place. The Summer League Winner will be invited to attend the next Pro-Am tournament.
