The Club Championship 2016
First of all, I’d just like to say a big thank you to all who came to play in and support ‘The Club Championship 2016’ – we had a GREAT turnout which I hope to build on in 2017.
After cancelling the initial event which was supposed to take place on Saturday 2nd of October, we re-scheduled to the 8th of October. Battle commenced at 08:30am, with a damp, yet playable golf course and 20 of Myerscough’s finest competitors ready to take on the challenge.
Dry in the sky, it was there for the taking! However, only one could become champion – this year, that competitor was:
PETER HEYWORTH
With a Nett 63, Peter narrowly beat this year’s ‘Mr.Consistent’: Brian Procter who carded a Nett 65 (Brian has finished in the top 3 of ALL major competitions this year – Winter League/ Summer League/ Club Championship).
Congratulations Peter!!! Presentation of Prizes will be at the AGM (TBC).
